Sabine El Deek is an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with extensive expertise in supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing. She holds a degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the Lebanese University in Beirut (2007) and is currently pursuing her LSLS Cert. AVT® designation through the AG Bell Academy, advancing her specialization in Listening and Spoken Language.
She works with children from newborn through adolescence, providing Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT) to help them build spoken language through hearing technologies such as:
- Hearing aids
- Cochlear implants
- Bone conduction devices
Sabine delivers a full spectrum of clinical services, including:
- Auditory, speech, and language assessments
- Cochlear implant candidacy evaluations
- Pre- and post-implant rehabilitation
- Individual and group therapy programs
- Support and counseling for families upon diagnosis
- Academic intervention, IEP development, and inclusion support
- School and nursery-based training for staff
In addition, Sabine provides American Sign Language (ASL) intervention for deaf children and offers specialized training for Learning Support Assistants as well as sign language courses for families and the wider community.
Her practice is rooted in a parent-coaching model, empowering caregivers with practical strategies to foster communication and listening skills at home. She collaborates closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure children receive consistent support across all environments.
